Every minute of a child’s time at school is important. Children who are absent for even one day, or who arrive later than their classmates, miss valuable instruction time and can easily fall behind in school. They also miss important socialization time and fun with their peers.
Please email Ms. Martinez, our PEIMS/Attendance clerk, if your child is absent or send a note with your child to bring to the office.
When emailing or sending a note, please send the following information:
- Student’s name
- Date(s) absent
- Grade/ teacher
- Your name and your relation to child
- Daytime phone number
- Reason for absence
Students who arrive after the beginning of the school day are to check in with the office, accompanied by a parent or guardian, for a late arrival slip before reporting to their classroom.
All students must be in their classroom and seated by 7:30. Please drop off your child no later than 7:25, so the student may enter the classroom and be settled to start the school day.
